Bio

The regal elegance of brass music combined with the seasoned flexibility of experienced professional musicians is the hallmark of the Lanier Brass Quintet. Having compiled an extensive repertoire of Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Jazz, and Popular works, the Lanier Brass Quintet is an ideal ensemble for wedding ceremonies, commencements, dedications and other occasions of grandeur and pomp. From the stateliness of the classics, to the excitement of fanfares and marches, to the fun and frivolity of Dixieland, the lush sonority of these brass instruments provides audiences with a range of sounds and styles unmatched by any other chamber ensemble.

Over the past several years, these musicians' wide-ranging appeal has become evident, moving audiences with their warmth and charm. The Lanier Brass Quintet is very flexible dynamically and can fill the largest cathedrals with glorious sound while also providing an artistic subdued atmosphere for those more intimate settings. More than just a concert, "Goose Bumps Guaranteed," is the tag line for The Lanier Brass, and you can count on programming that will provide something for every member of your audience.

"My husband and I were married on May 14, 2005 in a quaint evening ceremony. Everything was perfect, right down to each flower. Part of what set the atmosphere that we wanted to achieve was the beautiful music performed by the Lanier Brass Quintet. My husband and I are musicians, so it was important that the music be perfect. They worked with us from the beginning - accommodating each request we had. They even played music we requested that wasn't on their list! They made the music selection and planning very smooth. Marion and the other guys did a wonderful job at the ceremony, so much so, that I am still receiving compliments. If you are planning a wedding ceremony and are interested in a brass quintet, this is the group to have. They come with my husband and my highest recommendation!

Thanks Lanier Brass for all the hard work that was thoughtfully put into our ceremony!"
