~Bio~
Johnna Jeong has been playing and exploring the guitar for nearly two decades. Her musical interest, influences and experiences range from Classical, Jazz, Latin and other music styles. She encompasses a multitude of musical genres in her playing as a soloist and in ensemble settings.
Johnna earned a B.A. in music from Virginia Commonwealth University and a M.M. from East Carolina University. She currently has an active career teaching at Maple Street Guitars in Atlanta, GA, and has prepared students of all ages for auditions, recitals, and assists novice players through their musical studies.
Having performed as a solo guitarist for many years, she has also had the pleasure of performing and/or recording with a variety of artists, including world music groups (Vientos del Pueblo & Sukay), international artist Satoshi Ueda, Jazz saxophonist Derwin Daniels, Jazz Big Bands, and off-broadway musical productions.
Performance credits include: The High Museum of Art, CNN Center, Macon State College, Georgia Tech, Georgia Perimeter College, Chateau Elan, Lake Lanier Resorts, The Ferst Center for Performing Arts, Ritz Carlton, WREK Radio 91.1FM live broadcasts, and more...
