Bio
The Diane McIntosh Band delivers a vast mix of Beach, R&B, Funk, Disco, 60’s and 70’s, Country, Rock ‘n Roll, Jazz and Motown. A Detroit native, Diane grew up in the heart of the Motown sound. However, the band’s song list covers every popular style of classic and current dance music available. Diane is backed by a dynamic rhythm section, which features some of Atlanta’s musical elite. The band can deliver light, smooth, selections during the dinner portion of your reception, and transition the mood to the very best in party music. What sets this band apart from many others is Diane’s dynamic vocal versatility as she moves from Celine to the Supremes, from Mariah to
Shania, or from the "Gloved One" to the "Purple One." Other performances include classics from such artists as The Beatles, Tina Turner, Donna Summer, Mother’s Finest, Patsy Cline, KC and the Sunshine Band, AC/DC and a plethora of others. The band can also condense to a four-piece, trio or duo, and also expand to include a dynamic horn section.
Audiences Diane has performed for include Siemens Corporation, Pepsi-Cola, Georgia Tech, City of Selma, AL, The Meridian Mississippi Symphony Orchestra and The Atlanta High Museum. She also opened for the 70’s funk group The Bar-Kays. Also a songwriter, Diane penned a ballad for R&B artist Miki-Howard. The album, entitled "Three Wishes" was nominated for a Grammy in 2002 for Best Traditional R&B Album.
